The 16th Big Cartoon Festival will be held from October 27 to November 7

The Big Cartoon Festival (BFM) is Russia’s largest annual animation festival. Since 2007, the BFM has been showcasing the best examples of Russian and foreign animation.This year the festival will be held in a hybrid format: in Moscow at the cinema “October” and online at multfest.online.More than 300 films from the competition program, premieres of full-length animations, special thematic collections, and a large program for children and parents will be presented.1,121 films from 80 countries were submitted for participation in the BFM competition program this year; the largest number of projects came from Russia (186 films), France (90 works) and the US (86 films). A total of 205 films have been selected, of which 80 films will take part in the Russian national competition, 36 in the international competition, 51 in the international student film competition, and 38 in the international animation competition for children.
